Clean Filters: Filters can usually be cleaned simply by spraying with a hose. Optional ways to clean would be to soak the filter(s) in filter cleaner for 2 hours, then spray off and allow to dry. Another way is to soak filter(s) in a mixture of Muriatic Acid (10 parts water to 1 part Muriatic Acid). Our recommendation is to simply take your garden hose spray them off then place them in the top shelf of your dishwasher without soap and with the dry cycle turned off. Spa filters may require cleaning every other week due to heavy bather load, frequent use or other circumstances. Many owners clean their filters on a weekly basis due to heavy use, excessive body hair, lotions and hair care products. Or even the worse using fragrances in their tubs. Remember that every product you use in your hot tub will be going through the filters eventually. REMEMBER: ALWAYS REFILL YOUR HOT TUB THROUGH THE FILTERS OR FILTER CHAMBER TO AVOID ANY AIR LOCKS! |
