Well I believe the name says it all. This buyer will usually go to the closest hot tub retailer to their home and ask for the cheapest hot tub on the floor. They don’t want to and will not spend anymore money than they have to on a hot tub. Their mindset is usually; I’m not going to use it much so why should I spend more? Unfortunately the old adage, you get what you pay for does come into play when hot tub shopping. They will usually spend less time making a buying decision for a hot tub than they do while ordering a pizza. This group as a whole will usually spend somewhere between $1500.00 and $4000.00 on a spa. Not to say there aren’t some great buys out there, but research is everything. We also note in various emails from this group that they worship the chlorine/bromine Gods. While we have all heard that less is best when it comes to hot tubs, these folks were on the porch during that segment. If a teaspoon will kill most bacteria then a couple of tablespoons must be great. Yep, these are the folks that you can see the chlorine fumes rising off their hot tubs when they remove the cover. |
