The Hot Tub Doctor |
The best thing to remember when it comes to jet ratings is that we often get caught up in someones pitch on the number of jets and completely forget about the therapy aspect of the hot tub we are in search of. So don't get sidetracked in your search. Often we hear of someone that bought a portable spa or hot tub that had all these jets and when they fired it up for the first time they were very disappointed in the performance of the jets. |

The hot tub jet configuration as well as the number of hot tub jets is very important. So be sure that you look for jet to pump horsepower ratio in a spa to make sure you have enough power at the spa jet head. Too many hot tub jets and not enough horsepower makes for weak hot tub therapy. Kind of like going to a cheap hotel and using their shower, never enough pressure to get the shampoo out of your hair. Therapy or just looks The correct formula to insure that you’ll receive at least the minimal therapy from your jets is as easy as this. For every 1 horsepower there should be no more than 3—5 jets. Therefore if you’re looking at a spa with 60 jets and it has 6 total horsepower it will feel like your little brother holding a garden hose on you, yeah without the power nozzle too. Remember 6 multiplied 5 only comes to 30 no matter who you are. |
